Dr. Heavilon is a orthopedic surgeon specializing in Pediatric Orthopedics, and special interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery, and Spine Surgery.

Dr. Heavilon earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio University.  He attended medical school at the Ohio State University School of Medicine and completed internships at Montefiore Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh and McKeesport Hospital.  His orthopaedic training was at Ft. Wayne Orthopaedic Training Program and from Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville.  Dr. Heavilon completed a fellowship at the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in Pediatric Orthopaedics.  After completing his fellowship in 1990, he began his practice in Columbia, South Carolina before joining Central Indiana Orthopedics in 1993.  Dr. Heavilon is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.  He is also a member of AACP & DM and the AOFAS.
